Through their geographical training, students should develop:

• Judgements on values and attitudes in the use and management of resources.

Assessment of Geography Exam Papers

Students are tested on two papers, two of which are taken on different days during the O’level examinations.

1) Paper I Essay (50%): 
Students are required to write two essays on the areas of learning identified in the content coverage.

Section A (25%): 
One structured question on Geographical Investigations will be set based on the following topics:

·         Coasts

The question is set on a specific topic or combination of topics (25 marks).
Students must answer this compulsory question.
Duration: 55 minutes.

Two structured questions are set based on the following topics:

·         Coasts

One question is set on a specific topic and One other question is set on a combination of topics (25 marks). Students answer one question from this section.
Duration: 45 minutes.

2) Paper II (50%):

Students apply their knowledge and understanding of what they have learnt to unseen stimulus material.
Section A (25%): 
Two structured questions is set based on the following topics:

·         Living with Tectonic Hazards
·         Variable Weather and Climate

One question is set on a specific topic and One other question is set on a combination of topics (25 marks). Students must answer one question from this section.
Duration: 45 minutes.

Two structured questions will be set based on the following topics:  

·         Food Resources
·         Health and Diseases

One question will be set on a specific topic. One other question will be set on a combination of topics (25 marks). Students must answer one question from this section.
