The information in these Terms and Conditions is based on the verbal
agreement between you and the Agency. If there is any discrepancy,
please call us immediately. |

Confidentiality
The information you supply to us is completely
confidential. |

Duration of Each Lesson
(a) Most tuition duration is either 1.5 or 2 hours per lesson except for Special Request for 2.5 hours per lesson.
Fee base on 1.5 to 2.5 hours for home visit lesson. If you ask 1 hour you still pay 1.5hr fee for home visit.
(b) For Pre-school & Special Needs students (Dyslexia, Autism, ADHD, etc), they can take either 1 or 1.5 hour per lesson but all charges and fee base on 1.5 hour for home visit / home tuition only. |

Commissions |

(a). It is a Standard practice in Singapore that the commission paid to
Tuition Agency is 50% of the first four weeks' (or equivalent)
tuition fees.
(b).
Agency may negotiate lower commissions for very short-term tuition assignment (between 2 weeks to 8 weeks).
(c).
However, tutors have no authority to change the
commissions or tuition fees in any way without the knowledge of the
Agency in the first month.
(d).
All tutors and tutoring persons are no authority to collect the first 3 weeks tutoring fee from the parents or guardian (either for 1 lesson per week or for 2 lessons per week and so on).
(e). If any unforeseen situation and is within the 1st 4 weeks, the tutor will be paid the pro-rated tuition fees based on the number of lessons conducted. It is a 50% of the pro-rated fees to Tutor and 50% of the pro-rated fees to the Agency. This is fair for both tutor and agency.
(f). Stanford Tuition will be collecting 50% the first month's tuition fees from the parents or guardian as commission. This 50% is deducting from the first 4 weeks tuition fee (It is based on either 4 lessons or 8 lessons per 4 weeks). |

For music instructors or teachers, it has its Standard Practice in Singapore.
However, all music instructors/ or teachers collect four (4) lessons fees during the first lesson. It is a Standard Practice in Singapore. Each instructor / or teacher will then transfer 50% of the fee to Stanford Tuition. This is Agency's commission. |

Disputes
Disputes between parents/students and tutor are rare. However, we will use our goodwill offices to help resolve any disputes that may arise. We can't make any guarantees, but we will do our best to resolve the dispute |

Tutor Responsibilities |
a |
“First Impression Count”. Remember that students and their parents will
judge you by your appearance. Be smartly dressed! Remember, a smile is
worth a thousand words! |

Show your highest qualification to the parents during your first
lesson. This is to avoid them from making the wrong judgment. |

Punctuality. Be at least 5 to 8 minutes early. In the past, many tutors
were terminated due to punctuality issues. |

Record the time ‘in & out’ in a booklet for the student to sign.
This is to avoid lost of payment due to missed calculation. It happened
in many cases and end up in disputes. |

Always be prepared for each lesson. Keep up with the
latest school syllabus. |

Most parents will prefer Tutors to provide worksheets & model answers for their children. |
g |
Parents expect regular progress reports. Make a point of spending a few
minutes each week to discuss the child’s progress with the parent. |
h |
If you have to change or re-arrange a lesson, please let the student or
parent know well in advance – at least 24 hours ahead if possible. Don’t
leave it until the last minute. |

Do not forsake the student when his / her examinations are drawing
near. You need to help the student until the examination is over. |

Keep the phone numbers of both parents & student
accessible in a booklet or cellphone. |

Failure to turn up for the given & accepted
assignment. It is fair for you to inform the Agency immediately, otherwise it is fair for the agency to bill you of the lost commission, that is, 50% of the four weeks tuition fee. |

a] If you are in any way treated unfairly.
b] Be committed to the tuition assignment for at least ONE month. An administration fee of $50 will be imposed if you failed to do so. |

If you foresee that you are going to be more than 10 minutes late for lessons then it courteous to let the student or parent know in advance. |

If you are going through a topic with the student, and you see that the
lesson time is complete, spend a few minutes to finish what you are
doing. Don’t finish the lesson abruptly in mid-topic! |

All tutors are told to have your own personal policy / procedures to avoid miss-understanding with student / parents. For example, last minute cancellation and absent without reason by the student/s. |

Agreement with Stanford Tuition to contact you (Do-Not-Call - DNC Registry)
All tutors and teachers are hereby has consented and agreed with the Agency's staffs to continue contact you for new assignments. This stated that the registered person in DNC database has agreed in principle. |
