Eligibility to join as Tutor

a). To be eligible, you must be a Singapore Citizen, Singapore Permanent Resident or a Valid Employment Pass holder or Student Pass holder.
b). You need to have a minimum academic qualification of an O-level certificate with good 'A' grades in the subjects that you wish to teach.
c). On the first lesson, you have to show the necessary certificate/s and documents to the parent / student for certification. (i.e. NRIC, Academic Qualification and Certificates).

1. How to be our Tutor?

Register with Stanford Tuition is Free. Click here to Register. Before you fill up the Form, you read the Terms and Conditions for teachers or tutors. Our coordinators will contact you for the new or available tuition assignment. When it is confirmed, the first lesson is arranged and you will receive a detailed-text or email from us. At first lesson, please show your identity and qualifications is necessary.

2. What to bring on the first lesson?

Please bring along your Identity Card, Academic qualification/s and certificate/s for verification purposes.

3. What is the Agency service fee?

You (tutor) need to pay 50% of the tuition fee (first 2 lessons or 4 lessons for 2 times a week) to Agency. This is Agency's commission and is non-negotiable.
Payment can be made by:
(a) ATM Fund Transfers 
(b) Internet Fund Transfers 
(c) Cheque
(d) Cash Deposit @ ATM machine.
(e) Cash payment at POSB or DBS counter.
(f) "DBS PayNow" is getting more convenience to transfer fund. (Tel: 9385 5548).
(g) If you require a Bill Collector to collect the Fees, you have to pay an Additional Fee of $30 for transportation and manpower.
The remaining 50% of the tuition fees, you (tutor) get it at the end of the 4th lesson or (8th lesson for two lessons per week) from the parent / student.
For all subsequent fees will be paid to you (tutor) by the Parent / student after every 4 weeks until termination.

4. Can I change the agreed tuition to shorter duration?

As stated in the Terms and Conditions, the minimum period is 1.5 or 2 hours per lesson. If you decide to reduce to 1 hour per lesson, then you still have to pay 1.5 hours as agreed for home tuition (home visit).

5. Can the Dyslexic student takes 1 hour lesson?

For Dyslexic students, they can take either 1 or 1.5 hour per lesson but all charges are based on 1.5 hours for home tuition (home visit).

6. What are the factors that cause the home tuition fee to vary?

The home tuition fee rate is for private tutor and teacher. It serves as a guide. 
The actual tuition fees may vary depending on the following:
a). qualification of tutor,
b). tutor' experience,
c). number of subject,
d). location,
e). Full-timer,
f). Part-timer.

One Subject' Tuition Fee
For one subject, the tuition fee is usually of the same rate but comes with one lesson per week, such as 2 hours per week. Some tutors expect a different rate for different subject, but the market is very competitive and transparent. All teachers and tutors are welcome to Tutor-Registration.
Please read the Terms and Condition carefully before submitting the Tutor Registration Form. Tutors who sign up with www.stanfordtuition.com agreed with the Terms and Conditions.

7. Is the information that I provide by online safe?

Yes. The information you supply to us is completely confidential and safe.

8. How do I apply for a tuition assignments?

Click on ‘Sign up’ and register yourself. Post your profile with the necessary details and your educational certificates. Click on the page to see the available Tuition-Assignments and apply for them.
