In this scheme, the top 10% of the national cohort skip the O-level at secondary four or year four. This ensures that students who are under the Integrated Programme (IP) are able to cope with their A-level after bypassing their O-level.History of Integrated Programme (IP)The Integrated Programme (IP) started in 2004 at eight schools, including Hwa Chong JC, Raffles Institution (RI) and Raffles Girls' School. It became so popular and prestigious that 19 schools now offer the Integrated Programme (IP).Integrated Programme (IP) was introduced in 2004 for top 10% of the Primary 6 students. They skip O-level in order to have curriculum time for research field trips and research attachments. From 2004 to 2018, approximately 4,000 students were admitted into the Integrated Programme (IP) each year. That is about 10% including those entered in Secondary 3 level.Schools are selected for Integrated Programme:
From 2017, new Eunoia Junior College will accept students from CHIJ St Nicholas Girls', Catholic High and Singapore Chinese Girls' Schools for the Integrated Programme (IP). Eunoia is pronounced as "yoo-noh-iea", which meant beautiful thinking and goodwill towards others. Eunoia meaning has Greek roots.
